As a graduate of the Public Relations program at California State University, Chico, my involvement with various programs has truly prepared me for life in the PR industry.
I was a member of the Chico State Club Field Hockey team for four years. This was a great experience for me to keep active while playing a sport I love, being competative and practicing teamwork on a daily basis. My committment to field hockey kept me very busy, but juggling school, work, practice and traveling for games has helped me to become a multi-tasking master and very effective with time management.
I decided public relations was my "thing" senior year of high school when I was researching for a job report and came across a description of public relations. Since then, I have groomed myself into the most well-rounded PR practicioner I could, utilizing courses in writing, publications, Web coding and much more.
Growing up in the Silicon Valley and spending the past four years in Chico, Calif. has helped me gain appreciation for laid-back, smaller communities and also made me realize my love for the hustle of a large, urban city. I'm ready to leave Chico behind me, head out and show the PR world what I have to offer!
