My general research interests are in the ecology and conservation of aquatic systems.  Specifically I am interested in aquatic- terrestrial interactions, hydrologic influences and the effects of flow alterations, food-web dynamics and resource distribution, and invasion ecology and the conservation of native species.  Currently I am researching the contributions of seasonal, nonnatal tributaries to the growth and survival of juvenile Chinook salmon (Onchorynchus tshawaysha) in the Sacramento River drainage.
