The Problem:

Oil Well

Whether you are aware of it or not, the world has a problem, a rapid consumption of our remaining oil supply that could soon be depleted. In 1956 Marion King Hubbert, a Geoscientist working for Shell, came up with a theory called, Hubbert's Peak, which predicted a peak in the production of US oil between the years of 1965-1970. Although ignored at the time, Hubbert's prediction became true when US oil peaked in 1970. The problem was then fixed by importing oil, which now amounts to over ten million barrels of crude oil per day.

No Gas

Although the US oil production peaked in 1970, the world's production did not. But now applying Hubbert's curve to the world production of oil we have either reached or are approaching the world's oil peak, meaning that afterwards oil will become harder and harder to get until it is completely depleted.

This leaves us with one option: Alternative Fuels
