Myth: There is still plenty of oil and that the depletion of oil is not a serious matter.
Oil production in the US has already peaked since 1971, and we've been supporting ourselves by getting supplies from other countries. The depletion of oil has already been in factor and therefore we should rely on the use of alternative fuels.
Myth: The consumption of oil-based petroleum will still be used for years to come and no change will come about anytime soon.
Even the oil companies are having a hard time looking for oil and purchasing oil from foreign nations is showing in the gas prices we are buying today.
Myth: The cost of alternative fuels is too costly to produce.
There is already the use of alternative vehicles such as electric cars for domestic use. The world is already at the oil peak so the world will have to change our use of non-renewable resources.
