My name is Sarah Rich and I am a senior at Chico State majoring in journalism and minoring in sociology. I am 21 years old, I'm from Durham, California and I went to Durham High School. My interests are writing, swimming, reading, wakeboarding and crocheting. Growing up, I always aspired to become a writer. As a child, I would write short stories and when I got older, my interest in writing turned to journal writing. Because of this passion, I eventually decided to pursue journalism in college. My sophomore year, I did an internship with the Chico News & Review. Junior year, I spent two semesters on The Orion as a news copy editor, features staff writer and calendar editor.
