Thanks for visiting my first attempt at a Web page. My name is Valerie Hazen. Doing a whole site about me seems a little self-indulgent, but for any prospective employers it may be helpful (or drown me, who knows).
About me
As it is my desire to become an editor, I suppose having a slightly obsessive-compulsive personality is helpful. It is not overly helpful when I get strange looks for lining spoons up or something, but I guess I have to take the good with bad. I have a somewhat quirky personality and often have an irrepressible urge to tell corny jokes that no one but me thinks are funny.
I am very close to my family, and have a wonderful close-knit group of equally quirky friends, that make my life interesting and fun.
I don't really have time for a lot of hobbies, as I am in school full-time and work
five days a week at Sierra Nevada Brewery, but I when I have time I enjoying reading, playing computer games, and spending time with my friends.
I live with my boyfriend of four years, JJ, and his beautiful daughter, Lillyanne. Lilly is five and since I have been raising her for so many years I think of her as my daughter too. Her interests are horses, singing, playing with her daddy, and looking at me with disgust when I tell her to stop doing something obviously dangerous.
